BellyFit Fusion is a medium to high intensity workout set to a variety of music styles. This class combines Belly Dance with Ballet, African Dance, Hip Hop and Yoga to target core strength, coordination, and flexibility. She draws on the balance and poise of Ballet, the strength and aerobic elements of Kickboxing, and the therapeutic stretches of yoga. The final choreography will be so invigorating, you'll be happily practicing at home! Caribbean Music and Percussion is a music practice class that brings the student in touch with the extraordinary musical tradition of the islands. The mixing of African, Native American, European and East Indian styles have produced a myriad of musical possibilties, mirroring the boundless creative process. Mr. Serrant will introduce you to a range of these rhythms, especially those of his native Republic of Trinidad and Tobago such as Oriki and Kaiso. Mr. Serrant's luminous spirit and encyclopedic knowledge make this a class not to be missed. Appropriate for all levels. Students may bring their own instruments or use those provided. West African Drumming offers the very popular jembé and sabar styles of West African drum instruction. Mr. Doumbia makes drumming accessible to all, breaking the rhythms down into their essential parts, so students begin practicing immediately. Rhythmic complexity will be coordinated with student advancement. Mr. Doumbia's unique style of teaching enlightens his students to the stories and knowledge behind the rhythms and the movements.
